Hey everyone,

Thank you to everyone who helped us on Product Hunt this week, we finished in the top 5! [We wrote a post mortem](https://www.reddit.com/r/macapps/comments/1k6seri/is%5Fproduct%5Fhunt%5Fstill%5Fworth%5Fit%5Fin%5F2025%5Ffor%5Fa/?utm%5Fsource=list.alterhq.com&utm%5Fmedium=referral&utm%5Fcampaign=global-keyboard-shortcuts-for-alter-actions) of the day if you are interested in reading it.

🔥 **JUST RELEASED**: This week’s update brings you the power of Global Keyboard Shortcuts for any Alter action, plus a completely redesigned action editor that makes customization easier than ever!

## What This Means For Your Productivity:

✅ **Trigger Any Action From Anywhere**: Launch your favorite Alter actions with custom keyboard shortcuts—no need to open the app first

✅ **Streamlined Action Editor**: Create and modify custom actions with our intuitive new interface

✅ **Maximum Efficiency**: Save precious seconds on repetitive tasks with instant access to AI assistance

## How It Works:

1. Open the redesigned action editor
2. Select any action (built-in or custom)
3. Assign your preferred keyboard shortcut in the General panel
4. Use your shortcut from anywhere on your Mac to instantly trigger the action

For example, select any text in any application and use your global shortcut to instantly run actions like "Correct Grammar" or "Summarize Text" without opening Alter first!

## Additional Improvements in This Release:

### Microphone Enhancements

1. Right-click to cancel recording—no more awkward attempts to stop unwanted recordings
2. Improved handling of function keys during recording

### System & Performance

1. Fixed infinite loader when only whitespace remains after removing '/'
2. Improved notch behavior with better current app detection
3. Optimized shortcuts management to prevent conflicts
4. Better handling of text selection context

### Bug Fixes

1. Fixed translation issues in German UI
2. Improved search functionality when clicking on "chips" in the notch input
3. Enhanced keyboard navigation for radio parameters

Try it today and let us know what custom shortcuts you're creating to supercharge your workflow!

Best, Sam
